Vargas has been hailed as “The Mayor of Down Town” referring to his pivotal role in the resurgence of culture in DTLA. In his loft Perched atop a corner of Spring Street in the heart of downtown he works. Shaped by & symbiotically shaping the city, he is driven by the chaotic energy below. From his chic live-in studio, Vargas produces works of ”FINE-ART” for gallery shows as well as plots his world take-over. 
He can be seen painting live & creating a vibe around town on various nights and with a permanent residency at his monthly party “Red Zebra” held at The Crocker Club. Robert has shaped Red Zebra to showcase underground artists of all media including Fashion, Paint, Music & Photo. ”The Party within the Party” Red Zebra also features Glass Door Presented by Omega Collektiv. Named Party of the Year by Lina Lecaro of L.A. Weekly R.Z. is Held the first Thursday of each month @ The Crocker Club 453 S. Spring st @ 5th 90013 The club features subterranean tallent & is offered with free admission. The Next Red Zebra will be held: 2.2.12.
